Residential Management Group?

Posted on 01. Feb, 2008 by admin in All posts, CPM Asset Management, Residential Management Group (RMG)

According to their website CPM are now a subsidiary of Residential Management Group Ltd. Their website now reads …

“CPM – a subsidiary of Residential Management Group Ltd- is one of the UK’s fastest growing specialist residential property management companies and has been established for twenty years. CPM works with property developers and residential property management companies throughout the UK.”

A new era, a new leaf? Hardly!

RMG is a name change of the Erinaceous owned company Dunplop Haywards Residential Limited. As one member at UK Leasehold Forums only half joked “musical chairs” again!

While there is a link to a domain included there is no site there. Just the holding page of the registrar 123-reg.co.uk

At our AGM in January it was unanimously agreed to replace CPM with another managing agent. In our attempts to do so they refuse to communicate with us to enable this change to take place. In the mean time they continue to take their fees but are not providing any services. At least Dick Turpin had the decency to wear a mask.

We have had the same problem with this company. They will instruct a debt collection agency to take you to court in the end unless you pay.
As we are doing the work we are paying this outfit to do I have advised them in writing that I will be invoicing for my time in future at a rate of 120 per hour. I will advise if this works

If you saw BBC Watchdog (23/3/09) tonight you’ll see their expose of my block on there which is being seriously mismanaged by RMG. If you didn’t see the programme tonight then check out the website -the report will be on there. You’ll see a flat which has walls and ceilings covered in mould (we have at least 9 flats like this) which an independent surveyor and BBC Watchdog’s surveyor say is due to the flat roof being in very poor condition (it’s also uninsulated) . However ,RMG say it’s just condensation and we need to ventilate out properties better. We are already keeping our windows open and we have rotting windows and poorly fitting /draughty front doors -how much more can we do!

If you have a good case Watchdog are waiting for you.
